Zamor Glenroy the blue note singer"I am often told that the singing of ZAMOR GLENROY is unusual. After checking with the music theory professionals, it turns out that Zamor sings using BLUE NOTES. To stay in the chords, this type of singing is difficult to achieve, it is great art, and this, according to the assertions of the artists consulted." Fadila Tatah

The "blue note" was born in response to a "problem" that was decisive in the creation of the blues. Indeed, African American singers were hindered by the distribution of the heights of the western range, especially the Mi, the Si and the Sol, in C Major. Despite them, the singers were bending the E towards the E flat, sliding from one to the other, always in instability without ever resting on one of these notes. As a result, African American singers introduced minor notes into the major range, for example, they sang Mi flat while playing the instrument Mi chord. These notes, which destabilized the chord by their internal contradictions, the sadness of the minor in the major chord, were called the "blue(s) notes" -blue notes-. From these small defects, a new harmony and melody were born: that of the blues. A less theoretical world than it seems because the musicians were long deprived of the teaching of solfège.
